    Course Description

    The structural arrangements and business model that are in place have a fundamental impact on the effectiveness of an organization. This course will provide participants with the principles of organization design in a tax administration setting and guide them on design choices and the practical challenges of implementation. The course will also review key management tools and approaches that are critical to the success of any tax administration organization structure, with an emphasis on accountability and transparency.

    Course Objectives

    The objectives of this course are that participants will understand:
    • the practical and integrative nature of organization change and how design defines basic activities in different types of function in the organization;
    • the role of the headquarters' function in creating and maintaining corporate integrity and operational consistency;
    • the relationship between organizational change, redesign, an organizational effectiveness;
    • how technology can unable or determine certain kinds of organizational structure if an organization is to be effective; and
    • the change process and the techniques that can be used to help an organization achieve its desired future state.
