Resident Representative for Republic of Türkiye


Senior Resident Representative: Azim Sadikov took up the role of Senior Resident Representative in Turkey in January 2022. Mr. Sadikov has broad experience in country and policy work at the IMF, spanning emerging, low-income, and transition economy issues. His professional/research interests include external adjustment, trade and capital flows, spillovers, and debt. Prior to his current position, Mr. Sadikov served as IMF Mission Chief for Afghanistan and Kuwait, Assistant to the Director of the Middle East and Central Asia department, and IMF Resident Representative in Georgia. Mr. Sadikov holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
