IMF Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato's Statement on the Bombings in New Delhi, India

Rodrigo de Rato, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today:

"On behalf of the International Monetary Fund, I offer my deepest condolences to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the people of India for the terrorist attack in New Delhi on Saturday. Our sympathies are with the families of those innocent people who lost their lives in the tragedy. The attack, which claimed the lives of over 60 people, is a reminder to the international community that terrorism remains a threat. As the head of a collaborative international institution, I must stress the IMF will continue to do its part in the effort to counter terrorism."
