IMF Mission Chief Set to Meet Turkey's New Economic TeamPress Release No. 07/187

The following statement was issued today in Washington, DC, following Turkey's request for a meeting between the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission chief and the country's new economic team:
"At the request of Minister Şimşek, Mr. Lorenzo Giorgianni, the IMF mission chief for Turkey, will visit Ankara during September 12-13 to be introduced to the new economic team. Mr. Giorgianni will be accompanied by Mr. Hossein Samiei, the newly appointed Senior Resident Representative."
