IMF Team to Visit Honduras

Mr. Mario Garza, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) resident representative in Tegucigalpa, issued the following statement today:

“At the request of the authorities, an IMF mission will visit Honduras during March 15-25. The goal will be to assess, jointly with the authorities, the economic performance during 2009; review the outlook for 2010, focusing on the public finances and the external sector; and discuss policy plans to resume growth and deal with the challenges faced by the economy. As is customary, the mission will issue a brief statement at the end of its visit.”
