Press Release: Statement by IMF Acting Managing Director John Lipsky on Meeting with the Ukrainian Authorities

Mr. John Lipsky, Acting Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), issued the following statement today in Washington, DC, on a meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Finance Yaroshenko and Minister of Energy Boyko:

“Last Friday, I met with ministers Yaroshenko and Boyko in Washington. We discussed recent economic developments in Ukraine and the region. I stressed the importance of strong policies and reforms in Ukraine to achieve the program objectives, reduce vulnerabilities and lay the foundation for sustained growth. We agreed to continue our close cooperation in the coming months.”
