Purpose and scope

• Documents are prepared by the respective countries for the purpose of setting forth policy intentions in respect of use of Fund resources or staff-monitored programs.
• The publication links to Letters of Intent, Memorandum of Economic Policy, Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers, Interim Poverty Reduction Strategy Papers, and Policy Framework Papers which are prepared by the member countries.

Terminology note

• The term "country" does not in all cases refer to a territorial entity that is a state as understood by international law and practice.

• Dependent territories of member countries are listed alphabetically followed by a description of the constitutional relationships with their member countries.
