Andre Meier

Andre Meier is Deputy Chief of the Regional Studies Division in the Western Hemisphere Department, which produces cross-country research and analysis on Latin America and the Caribbean. He previously worked on a number of country assignments in Africa, Asia, and Europe, and during 2011–13 was the IMF’s Resident Representative in Hong Kong SAR. His published research focuses on fiscal and monetary policy transmission, inflation dynamics, and financial market imperfections.
