Anke Weber

Anke Weber is the deputy mission chief for the United States and mission chief for The Bahamas in the Western Hemisphere Department. Previously, in the European Department, she held positions as desk economist for the euro area and Italy. She has also worked on the IMF’s Fiscal Monitor. Her research interests encompass macro-financial linkages, central bank transparency, and fiscal policy. She holds a PhD in economics from Cambridge University. .
