Marcello Miccoli

Marcello Miccoli is Deputy Division Chief of the Payments, Currencies and Infrastructure Division, in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the IMF. He contributes to the analysis of the impact of digital money and payment systems on the economy. Before joining the Fund, Marcello was at Banca d’Italia, working on monetary policy stance and strategy, and held visiting positions at the New York University and the European Central Bank. His research has focused on incomplete information, monetary policy, and digital money. Marcello holds a PhD in Economics from Stanford University.
