Sumiko Ogawa

Sumiko Ogawa is a Senior Economist in the IMF’s Monetary and Capital Markets Department. In MCM, she has worked on India and Belarus, and as deputy mission chief for the 2019 Financial Sector Assessment Program for Thailand. She was previously an economist in the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department working on Caribbean and South American countries. Prior to joining the IMF in 2009, she worked at the IMF’s Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific and Merrill Lynch and J.P. Morgan in Tokyo. She holds an MA from University of Tokyo.
