Andrew Tiffin

Andrew Tiffin is a senior economist in the Regional Studies Division of the IMF’s African Department. In his time at the IMF, Andrew has worked on a range of countries including Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Italy, Lebanon, and Jordan. He has worked extensively on the IMF’s risk-assessment process and other policy issues, and has a current interest in the application of modern statistical techniques (machine learning) to the analysis of the Fund. Prior to joining the IMF, Andrew worked on international economic and security issues with Australia’s Office of National Assessments. He has a Ph.D. in economics and an M.P.A. in international relations, both from Princeton University.
