Dora Iakova is Assistant Director at the IMF, leading the work on European climate policies. She is the mission chief for Spain and has previously led the IMF surveillance for the United Kingdom, Mexico, Chile, and Norway. Prior to that, she headed the Regional Studies Division in the Western Hemisphere Department (2012-14), and also worked on a number of other advanced and emerging market economies, including Japan, Hong Kong SAR, Ireland, and Hungary. Her research has focused on monetary and fiscal policy, financial sector and exchange rate issues, and inequality.
