Nina Biljanovska is an Economist at the Macro-Financial Division of the Research Department. Previously, she worked at the IMF's Institute for Capacity Development and the Western Hemisphere Department, where she covered Brazil and Ecuador. Nina's expertise and research interests lie in the area of macroprudential regulation and real estate markets. More recently, her work has focused on studying the long-run effects of the pandemic on real estate markets and the effectiveness of macroprudential regulation on macroeconomic aggregates and across the income distribution. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Goethe University Frankfurt.
