Carlo Pizzinelli is an economist in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund. His research focuses on labor markets and structural transformation issues. His works on these topics have been featured in academic journals and IMF publications. He co-authored an IMF Staff Discussion Note and several working papers on Artificial Intelligence. At the IMF, he previously worked in the Research, Western Hemisphere, and Fiscal Affairs Departments. He obtained his PhD from the University of Oxford in 2018.
