Additionally, officers from related units such as Financial Stability, Macroprudential Supervision, and AML/CFT divisions are also eligible and encouraged to participate.
This seminar is specifically designed for bank supervisors and policymakers seeking to deepen their understanding of the critical impact that corporate governance issues have on the risk profile of banks. It centers on three core areas: risk governance, remuneration practices and related party transactions. The seminar highlights boards' cross-cutting role as the principal authority responsible for setting the bank's risk appetite and for fostering a robust risk management culture supported by effective risk control policies. Participants will gain actionable insights into board-level management of risk appetite, the risk governance, the oversight of remuneration policies and detection of related party exposure risks. The program equips supervisors with the knowledge and practical tools necessary to strengthen existing supervisory frameworks and to promote sound corporate governance as a key driver of banking system resilience. Through a combination of interactive sessions, practical exercises, detailed case studies and expert-led discussions, attendees will develop the capacity to identify corporate governance risks confidently and apply effective mitigation strategies.
