Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to: Describe the conceptual framework of the 2008 SNA and the main changes included in the 2025 SNA. Demonstrate an understanding of the three approaches to estimating gross domestic product (GDP): production, expenditure and income. Apply specific techniques to derive value added in special cases. Explain the price and volume measurement techniques, including the compilation of chain-linked volume measures. Apply appropriate techniques to compile volume estimates of value added and expenditure components. Understand the concepts and critical issues in measuring economic activities at the regional level.
