Financial markets have remained resilient, but financial stability risks are elevated. OAP will host a seminar on the latest Global Financial Stability Report (GFSR), featuring guest speaker Jason Wu, Assistant Director of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department at the IMF.
As the official overseeing the production of the IMF's flagship report, he will discuss its key findings, including three near-term catalysts of market turmoil: an AI-driven market correction, a sharp rise in sovereign bond yields, and cyber threats. The seminar will also explore the vulnerabilities that could amplify these shocks into systemic events and the policy priorities needed to strengthen resilience, transparency, and preparedness. The event will mark the first outreach event in Japan following the report’s release, offering participants with a timely opportunity to hear firsthand insights from the official leading the GFSR.
