Sonali Das is a deputy division chief in the IMF’s Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, where she contributes to surveillance priorities, including operationalization of the IMF’s Integrated Policy Framework. Prior to her current assignment, she was a senior economist in the Research Department, contributing to the World Economic Outlook, and in the Asia and Pacific Department, where she was the senior desk for China and a desk economist on the India, Nepal, and Fiji teams. She previously worked as SPR economist on an IMF program with Pakistan. She holds a PhD in economics from Cornell University.
