Biography
Rafael Machado Parente is an Economist in the Structural and Climate Policy Division of the Research Department. His work focuses on industrial policy, structural reforms, and international trade. Previously at the Fund, he covered regional developments in Latin America and the Caribbean and contributed to country surveillance in Belize. His research interests are on macroeconomics, labor, and trade. Rafael holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University.
