The Fund has fully offset its carbon footprint since 2010. It purchases Gold Standard, Certified Emission Reduction credits in support of projects under the UN Climate Change Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Projects have spanned the following areas: clean energy, hydropower, green transportation, solid waste treatment, in 10 countries. In 2022, wind power carbon offsets were acquired in India.
Projects and Project Types
The Fund invests in carbon offset projects around the globe to help negate the environmental impacts of Scope 1-3 effects. Each offset represents one metric ton of avoided or sequestered carbon emissions that are derived from sustainable development projects.
