Biographical Information

Clare Brady took up her position as Director of Internal Audit at the International Monetary Fund in January 2014. Prior to that, she held the position of Vice President and Auditor General of the World Bank Group for four years. In both of these organizations, the internal audit team provides objective assurance and advice to support the IMF/World Bank Group's respective missions; influencing changes that enhance risk management, control and governance, and improving accountability for results.

Before moving to the United States, Ms. Brady spent five years with Deutsche Bank, covering multiple roles in Group Audit, including Regional Head roles in Europe and Asia Pacific, based first in London and latterly in Singapore. She also operated as the Audit Partner for Deutsche Bank's global investment banking business. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Ms. Brady held the position of Head of Internal Audit at the Bank of England, and before that, she was the Global Head of Audit for Barclays Capital.

Ms. Brady has over 25 years of audit and compliance experience in the banking and finance industry. She graduated from the London School of Economics. Professionally, she holds ACIS (Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators) membership.
