Gee Hee Hong is a senior economist at the IMF’s European Department. Previously, she worked in the IMF’s Research Department, Asia and Pacific Department, as well as the Fiscal Affairs Department. She holds a PhD in economics from the University of California, Berkeley. Prior to joining the IMF, she worked at the Bank of Canada (2012 –2014) as a senior analyst. Her research covers productivity, monetary policy transmission and fiscal credibility. She has published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the American Economic Review, the Review of Economics and Statistics, and the Review of Financial Studies.
