Kenneth Kang is a Deputy Director in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the International Monetary Fund, covering issues related to surveillance of the global economy and digital money. Previously he worked in the Asian and Pacific and the European Departments, covering China, the euro area, Italy, Japan, Korea, and the Netherlands. He served as the IMF’s Resident Representative in Korea during 2003–06. He has a Ph.D. from Harvard University, and a B.S. from Yale University.
