Serkan Arslanalp is an Advisor in the Office of the Managing Director. He has worked in several departments of the Fund on a wide range of countries and policy areas. In previous positions, he led missions to countries in Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East. His research was published in leading journals, including the Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Finance. Serkan holds a PhD in Economics from Stanford University, and undergraduate and master’s degrees from MIT.
