Tomohiro Tsuruga is a Senior Financial Sector Expert in the Monetary and Capital Markets (MCM) Department of the IMF, where he works in the Global Financial Stability Analysis Division. Prior to joining the IMF, Tsuruga worked for the Bank of Japan as a director of the Institute of Monetary and Economic Studies, and the Research and Statistics Department. His research interests are in the field of macro and micro financial economics, including asset pricing, banking, and monetary policy. He holds Ph.D. in Economics from Osaka University.
