Course Description

This course, offered by CCAMTAC, in collaboration with SARTTAC, will delve into the primary challenges encountered by central banks in emerging markets and developing economies in the policy communications and transparency. The workshop aims to bring together central bank officials working on communication to exchange views on key developments and practical challenges. The program will cover core elements of an effective communication framework, including communication strategy, the role of communication units, tools and channels, and methods for assessing communication effectiveness. It will also address communication in key policy areas, crisis communication, and mechanisms to strengthen transparency and accountability. Country case presentations and interactive sessions, including simulations of real-life communication challenges, will support active peer learning and practical exchange among participants.
