Please read this page prior to ordering a subscription from us.

Publications are sent by ordinary surface mail and require 2 to 4 weeks for delivery within the continental United States and 6 to 16 weeks for delivery elsewhere, depending on geographic location. Faster delivery can be arranged at an additional cost.

The usual mailing dates of IMF serial publications are as follows:

Balance of Payments Statistics Yearbook
January of the following year
(i.e., 2003 edition is available January 2004)

Direction of Trade Statistics
March, June, September, and December
Yearbook in September

Government Finance Statistics Yearbook
January of the following year
(i.e., 2003 edition is available January 2004)

Fifth day of each month

Three issues per year, published by Palgrave MacMillan

New subscription orders, renewals, and changes of address must reach us at least 30 working days before the publication date to be reflected in that issue's mailing.

Many subscribers order their IMF periodicals through subscription agencies or booksellers. We welcome such orders and give them our prompt attention. But since we consider the subscriber our customer, we send renewal notices to the subscriber. Do not be concerned if you have ordered a renewal through an agency but receive a renewal notification from us. We mail renewal notices four to five months in advance of expiration of the subscription, while most agencies forward their orders to us closer to the expiration date.

If you should have any problems with your subscription, please contact us promptly, by either email, mail, telephone, or fax. The sooner we know of a problem, the easier it is for us to correct it. It is especially important that you inform us promptly if an issue appears to be lost in the mail, since replacement copies of periodicals will not be sent more than six months after the date of issuance.
