IMF Giving Together

Volunteering and Fundraising

Last Updated: March 19, 2019

INVOLVE (International Volunteer Venture), a grassroots volunteer group started by IMF staff in March 1994, is the main avenue for volunteerism in the IMF.

Staff members, their friends, families, and retirees participate in regularly scheduled projects which range from annual parties for children in need and monthly feeding programs for the homeless to rebuilding homes and mentoring children.

IMF staff volunteer thousands of hours a year, both in our host city and in locations around the world.

IMF Summer Kids Camp

IMF Giving Together has sponsored a one-week summer day camp for children of low-income families at Bretton Woods Recreation Center in Germantown, Maryland.

During one week in August fifty children, aged 6 - 12 years enjoy swimming, tennis, soccer, nature hikes, games, and arts & crafts. The children come from the Latin American Youth Center and Calvary Bilingual Multicultural Learning Center/CentroNía.

IMF employees volunteered their time as counselors throughout the week.
