Press Release: IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn's Statement on Terrorist Attack in Mumbai, India

Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today:

"On behalf of the IMF, I have offered my deepest condolences and sympathy to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the people of India for the terrorist attack in Mumbai. Our sympathies are with the families of those innocent people who lost their lives in the tragedy. I want to add my voice to the others in condemning this atrocious attack, which is a reminder to the international community that terrorism remains a threat. As the head of a collaborative international institution, I must stress the IMF will continue do its part in the effort to counter terrorism."
