Statement by the IMF on Argentina

Mr. Nicolas Eyzaguirre, Director of the Western Hemisphere Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), issued the following statement today:

“We confirm the request by the Argentine authorities for the IMF to provide technical assistance on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). We are currently in contact with the authorities on planning the missions.”
