Martin Kaufman is Assistant Director in the Strategy, Policy and Review Department of the IMF, where he leads the work on external sector issues, including trade, capital flows and exchange rates. Previously he worked in the Western Hemisphere Department, where he was mission chief for Brazil and Mexico.
