IMF Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato's Statement on the Bombings in Amman, Jordan

Rodrigo de Rato, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made the following statement today:

"On behalf of the International Monetary Fund, I offer my deepest condolences to King Abdallah and the people of Jordan for the terrorist attack in Amman yesterday. Our sympathies are with the families of those innocent people who lost their lives in the tragedy. The attack, which claimed the lives of over 50 people, is a reminder to the international community that terrorism remains a threat. As the head of a collaborative international institution, I will ensure that the IMF will continue to do its part in the effort to counter terrorism."
