To mark World AIDS Day, December 1, 2004, the IMF will be publishing a new book, The Macroeconomics of HIV/AIDS. Edited by Markus Haacker of the IMF, the volume brings together contributions by experts from a variety of international organizations and other institutions who are involved in formulating and implementing policy responses to the epidemic or are dealing with its social and economic consequences.
