Community Partnerships
Last Updated: November 21, 2025The IMF forms partnerships with local schools and nonprofits to support them in their work. We provide volunteers and speakers, create learning programs, participate on boards or committees, and provide services.
Currently the IMF partners with Centro Nia, Latin American Youth Center, Maya Angelou Public Charter School, Thomson Elementary School, Adams Elementary School, and Urban Alliance.
The IMF donates the use of its space to many nonprofit and civic groups for their annual fundraisers or meetings. Such groups include Washington AIDS Partnership, DC Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development, Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April, Ugandan Children's Charity Foundation, and the Washington Regional Association of Grantmakers.
In addition, some IMF staff clubs hold events inside the IMF to benefit local and international charities.
