Press Release: IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn to Visit India

Mr. Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), will travel to New Delhi and Mumbai, India, during May 13-14, 2010.

In New Delhi on May 13, Mr. Strauss-Kahn will meet with the top officials of the Indian government to exchange views on global and regional economic conditions and policies.

The Managing Director will also give a speech and participate in a roundtable discussion with eminent Indian policymakers. The event is hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). He will discuss the status of the global economic recovery, priorities for financial sector reform, and India’s role in securing long-term global growth.

In Mumbai on May 14, the Managing Director will meet with top officials of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as well as representatives from the private sector and media. He will also give remarks at an event hosted by RBI.
