Training Catalog Session Details

Staff from ministries and other public institutions, who are involved in analyzing and/or developing climate change related socio-economic strategies at both national and international level.

Participants are expected to have a degree in economics or equivalent experience.

The course on Macroeconomics of Climate Change starts with an overview of the science-the state of knowledge on the impact of greenhouse gas emissions on global warming, evidence of climate change, historic trends in global emissions, and projections of global  warming-and the economics of climate change, including its channels of transmission and main effects on the economy. The course continues with discussions of mitigation and adaptation policies, including policy design, and public finances management related to climate change.
