Qualifications
At least five years of experience in fiscal reporting, budget execution, accounting and related areas in government institutions.
Pre-requisites
Course enrollment will be by application and the country participants are required to deliver a presentation on the country's current status of fiscal reporting and any existing gaps or challenges faced.
Course Description
The course will discuss international good practices in coverage, classification, consolidation, and frequency of fiscal reports/data; accounting/reporting standards for fiscal reporting; as well as the use of fiscal reports for better decision making and transparency.
Course Objectives
The course is aimed at understanding the key elements of good fiscal reporting and how fiscal reports can be used to support effective fiscal policy making, effective monitoring of budget implementation, and also to enhance budget credibility, transparency and accountability.
