Target Audience:
- Mid - to senior level officers from the Ministry of Finance, including from the Treasury, Budget, and ICT departments.
Qualifications:
- No formal qualification is required.
- Expected experience or exposure to one of the following areas: fiscal reports, financial statements, budgets, fiscal forecasts, and FMIS.

Digitization of public financial management (PFM) processes has seen accelerated progress in the past year aiming to ensure efficiency in operation during times of crisis.
Digitization has supported administration of safety nets, improved delivery of services and more effective cash and debt management.
The task of digitalizing PFM remains unfinished.
The seminar will inform participants of the potential for future advancements by leveraging existing and emerging technologies to:
- improve efficiency;
- promote accountability and transparency in budget management; and
- improve delivery of essential services.
The seminar will explore how a digital PFM system can interact with other systems to facilitate good governance.

Upon completion of this seminar/workshop, participants should be able to:

Appreciate the importance of developing an appropriate framework for financial management information systems (FMIS) development.
Recognize the linkages between FMIS development and PFM reform.
Appreciate the role of emerging technologies in PFM.
Identify cybersecurity challenges.
Connect and share experiences with peers and benefit from this shared learning.
