Ms. Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), issued the following statement today in Washington, D.C. after her meeting with Mr. Tony Abbott, Prime Minister of Australia:
“It was a great pleasure to meet Prime Minister Abbott. We had a brief exchange on the state of the economy and the G20 Leaders’ Summit to be held in Brisbane later this year. I thanked Australia for being a strong supporter of IMF quota reform and leading on an ambitious G20 growth agenda. I look forward to visiting the country again in September.”
