This technical assistance (TA) mission consisted of: (i) a remote segment which took place via Zoom during March 11–17, 2025; and (ii) an in-person segment, which took place in Baku during April 28 – May 2, 2025. The main objectives of the mission were to: (i) provide an outline of Government Finance Statistics (GFS) concepts specifically targeted for source data providers; (ii) assist the Ministry of Finance compilers in finalizing annual GFS for general government for 2023; (iii) extend work on developing quarterly GFS and Public Sector Debt Statistics that support Fund surveillance; and (iv) review progress since the last TA mission in 2024. The mission also initiated the work on classification of public entities in line with the international statistical standards.
