Chris Wilson is a Senior Financial Sector Expert in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department. His area of expertise is banking supervision and regulation in general. He has particular interest in the Basel III liquidity standards and has led technical assistance missions on this topic. Prior to joining the Fund, he worked at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and the United Kingdom’s Financial Services Authority in the field of bank supervision and regulation, including supervision of major banks and regional banks. Most recently, he was involved in the domestic implementation of Basel III. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Master’s Degree in Politics and Public Policy from Macquarie University, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from FINSIA.
