Course Description

This joint IMF World Bank workshop gives an indepth introduction to the current debt sustainability framework for low-income countries DSF LIC which was implemented in July 2018. Sessions combine lectures on key features with demonstrations of the modules of the excel-based DS LIC framework covering linkages between the macroeconomic framework and debt dynamics, realism tools, stress tests, debt carrying capacity thresholds, the role of judgment, and the determination of final ratings. The workshop is supported by the IMF World Bank Debt Management Facility III.
