Target Audience
Experienced tax administration officials who will form the core of the GST law interpretation and advice function as the GST implementation in Bhutan progresses. Participants will also be responsible for training other DRC staff in the operation of the GST (Train the trainer).
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are necessary. However, participants should be DRC staff with at least five years' experience in tax administration with the DRC or a similar agency. Academic qualifications in law, accounting, administration or a related discipl
Course Description
This five day workshop will provide participants with a good understanding of the operation of a GST system and in particular the functioning of GST under the legislation developed by the Royal Government of Bhutan.
Course Objectives
The objectives of this course are that the participants will understand; the principles of the operation of a GST; the features of the legislation developed for the GST in Bhutan; the Bhutanese GST administrative model; and how to share knowledge with other DRC staff in how to administer the GST.
