ABOUT

This curriculum covers a range of macroeconomics topics focusing on economic analysis, forecasting, policy design, and communications. These courses are aimed at enhancing practical skills for government officials and policymakers in analyzing countries’ macroeconomic situations and formulating and communicating policies. They also build the foundation for more specialized thematic areas. Topics include the development of financial programming frameworks, the diagnosis of macroeconomic imbalances, the use of econometric tools for forecasting and policy analysis, and other applications such as managing and communicating fiscal and monetary policies and assessing vulnerabilities. Specialized modules focus on Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium Models, nowcasting, understanding economic integration, and the challenges of managing resource-rich economies.
