Press Release: IMF Executive Board Approves Evaluation Office Terms of Reference

The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved today the terms of reference for the independent Evaluation Office (EVO), and a report to the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which will be meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.
The terms of reference for the EVO, along with the report to the IMFC, has been posted on the IMF's website (http://www.imf.org). The IMFC, which is scheduled to meet September 24, 2000 ahead of the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank in Prague, requested a report on EVO at its last meeting held April 16, 2000 in Washington.
