Press Release: IMF Managing Director K&ouml;hler Congratulates Polish Prime Minister Miller

    Horst Köhler, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), today spoke with Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller on the telephone. Following his conversation with the Prime Minister, Mr. Köhler said:

    "I congratulated the Prime Minister on the approval by the two coalition parties of the Hausner Plan over the weekend. In the IMF's view, full implementation of the Hausner Plan is essential to putting Poland's public finances back on a sound footing so as to support strong and sustained economic growth."

    The Managing Director also wished the Prime Minister a speedy recovery from the injuries he suffered during the December helicopter accident.
