IMF and Turkey to Resume Discussions on a New Stand-By Arrangement on October 11
The following statement was issued today in Ankara by Hugh Bredenkamp, the IMF Senior Resident Representative in Turkey:
"Discussions on a new IMF Stand-By Arrangement for Turkey, which began in mid-September and were adjourned during the Annual Meetings of the IMF and World Bank in Washington D.C. (see Press Release No. 04/192 at www.imf.org), will resume as anticipated on October 11. The IMF mission will be headed by Mr. Reza Moghadam and will visit Ankara on October 11-26."
