This course is designed for high-level government officials working in ministries of economy, planning, and finance, treasuries, central banks, independent fiscal agencies, and other entities involved in fiscal policy analysis, design, implementation, and assessment.
Participants are expected to have a degree in economics or finance or equivalent work experience, and proficiency in the use of computers to analyze data. It is strongly recommended that applicants have completed the Financial Programming and Policies (FPP) and the Fiscal Policy Analysis (FPA) course before enrolling.
Presented by the Institute for Capacity Development, this intensive 4-day course begins with an overview of government and fiscal policy objectives. It introduces essential tools and methodologies for analyzing, monitoring, and enhancing fiscal policy. Participants will learn to gather high-quality information, improve transparency, and ensure government accountability for medium- to long-term fiscal goals.
