IMF RESEARCHER

Natalia Tamirisa is Assistant Director in the IMF's Strategy, Policy, and Review Department, where she serves as the chief of the Macro Risk Unit. During her career at the IMF, she has worked on a broad range of topics in international economic policy and a diverse set of economies (for example, Euro Area, Czech Republic, Poland, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, and Malaysia). Her research interests include the economics of international capital flows and financial crises, and economic forecasting. She holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Hawaii, USA, and M.S. in aerospace economics and management from the State University of Aerospace Technology, Russia.
